About Hope Highland

“We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.

– Carl R Rogers

About Us & What We Do

What Is Counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy which provides a safe and confidential environment within which you have the freedom to explore thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental setting. Working together with your therapist, somebody who is really listening, provides an opportunity to develop greater self- awareness, self -expression and an enhanced understanding of self.

Our Experience

In various roles, we have over 30 years experience working with children and families. As counsellors, we provide therapy to adults, teenagers and children in a safe and confidential environment.

What We Offer

We offer person-centred counselling which is a humanistic, non-directive, empathetic approach which empowers and eases the client through the therapeutic process. Harnessing your natural self-healing process, given the right therapeutic relationship, helps you to take more autonomy and decide what you want to do with your life. Based on the belief that every human strives for and has the capacity to fulfil their own potential.

How We Work

We work with you in a calm, comfortable and confidential environment which helps you explore and understand experiences that have impacted on how you feel and act. In talking through what is concerning you, this may allow you to become more self-aware, and assist you in exploring the options available to create positive changes in your life.
